About Maps to GPX
Maps to GPX is a route conversion tool for cyclists who plan rides in Google Maps and want a GPX file for their cycling computer.
The service focuses on practical cycling workflows: paste a Google Maps directions URL, generate a GPX track, and keep turn-by-turn cue points where possible.
Why this exists
Google Maps is convenient for planning, but cycling computers usually need a file. This tool bridges that gap without asking riders to redraw the route in another app.
Built for ride preparation
The first supported devices are Garmin, Wahoo, and Bryton style workflows. The output can be downloaded and imported into the device or companion app you already use.
Service status
This is an early version. Some shared Google Maps links may use formats that need additional parsing support. When a link fails, recreating the route share URL from Google Maps can help.
